At no cost to your family.  Your information goes to one local advisor, never to a list.

Our standards

Standards every A Move for Mom advisor follows

These are the promises we make to families, and the rules every advisor agrees to. Families can hold us to them.

With families

  • One advisor per family. Never share a family's information with a community without the family's permission.
  • Tell families in writing, before the first tour, how you're paid and which communities you have agreements with.
  • Show families any licensed community they ask about, not only those you have agreements with.
  • Personally visit communities you recommend, and re-visit them regularly. Frequency TBD
  • Check every community's Florida license status before recommending it.
  • No pressure, no deadlines that aren't real.

Calls and texts

  • Call or text only families who have given consent, and honor STOP and "please don't call" immediately.
  • No calls before 8 a.m. or after 8 p.m. in the family's time zone, and no more than three calls in 24 hours on the same subject, consistent with the Florida Telephone Solicitation Act. Legal review
  • No prerecorded or artificial-voice calls.

Following Florida law

  • Never offer or accept anything of value in exchange for a patient referral in a way that violates Florida's patient brokering law (§817.505). Legal review of fee structure
  • Know and respect residents' rights [1].
  • Report suspected abuse to the Florida Abuse Hotline, 1-800-962-2873.

Quality

  • Follow up with families after move-in. Timing TBD
  • Families may ask for a different advisor at any time.
  • We review complaints, and may end a relationship with an advisor who breaks these standards.
